Patient Biology
Precision Treatments
Conflux builds clinical foundation models of genomics and spatial biology to discover biomarkers, uncover novel patient populations, and advance precision treatments.
Our Team
We are scientists, engineers, and machine learning researchers building foundation models to power precision medicine discoveries.
Perry Palmedo, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
Perry believes high-dimensional clinical data will revolutionize medicine—and co-founded Conflux to help make it happen. Previously, he was on the founding team at insitro, leading data strategy, corporate development, and partnering. He holds an AB in physics from Princeton and a PhD in Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics from Harvard, and spent five years between as a currency and rates derivatives trader.
Chris Probert, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Chris leads research and development of our spatial biology foundation models. Previously, he led the Clinical Machine Learning team at insitro, a drug discovery company focused on novel target identification from multiplex data. He holds a PhD in computational genomics and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford.
Alden Timme, MS
VP of Machine Learning
Alden works across the technology stack, bringing a background in biostatistics and machine learning together with deep industry experience in software development. He previously co-founded and led ML at DataFox, a business intelligence platform acquired by Oracle. He holds a BS and MS from Stanford.
Salik Syed, MS
Founding ML Scientist
Salik works across design, frontend, backend, and machine learning. He has built software at Relativity Space and Dropbox, and co-founded a successful data visualization startup. He holds a BS and MS in Computer Science from Stanford.
Varun Kanwar
Founding ML Scientist
Varun builds data platforms and ML models for clinical and genomic data. Prior to Conflux, he led the Clinical Data Engineering team at insitro, and built lab automation infrastructure at Counsyl and Transcriptic. He holds a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
Ben Dulken, MD/PhD
Pathology Advisor
Ben is a board-certified pathologist and faculty member in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Washington. His research spans the tumor microenvironment, metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease, and digital pathology. He completed his MD/PhD and pathology training at Stanford.
